Our RTW Awareness Training has been developed and is facilitated by an Occupational Therapist with over 17 years in the Occupational Rehabilitation/ Injury Management industry. Anonymous examples are often discussed during training to engage participants and aid in learning of the legislation and processes.
The RTW Awareness course has been designed for Supervisors/ Managers with a view to educating them on the essentials of the workers’ compensation system. The course is approximately two-three hours long and addresses the following topics among others:
- Overview of Workers Compensation
- Obligations of the Employer
- Importance of recovering at work
- Early, positive and considerate intervention
- Actions when an injury occurs
- Initial Assessment
- Employers obligations to provide suitable duties
- How to identify suitable duties
- SIRA Certificate of Capacity details
- Working with the Nominated Treating Doctor
- Overview of wage entitlements
- Importance of confidentiality
The course can be delivered face to face in NSW or via online platforms in a webinar format.
